Welcome to The Nesbitt Arms Boutique Hotel.  Our hotel is a charming 49 bedroom family-owned hotel located in the heart of SW Donegal. We are lucky to be situated right in the centre of the Heritage Town of Ardara, nestled in a valley surrounded by magnificent scenery on Donegal’s Wild Atlantic Way. Our hotel, steeped in history was established in 1838 and has evolved over the years to a beautiful 49 en-suite bedroom hotel.  

The location of our hotel makes it a great base to explore the county of Donegal. If you just wish to stay close, a short drive from our hotel will bring you to Assaranca Waterfall, world-famous Maghera Beach and the Caves of Maghera.  Travelling a little further, you can take the road to the fishing town of Killybegs and onto the picturesque town of Glencolmcille making your way to Sliabh Liag Cliffs, the highest marine cliffs in Europe.  Here you can simply gaze at the beauty and truly experience the Wild Atlantic Way or else take a hike up Pilgrim's Path or One Man's Pass.  Whatever you choose, you will be blown away by its exquisite unspoilt beauty.  As a local, I would then take the road home and come down Glengesh Pass which was recently voted in the top 10 most panoramic views in Ireland.  Our Atlantic rugged coastline is simply made for exploring, you can walk the nearby Narin & Portnoo beach, or take one of our designed walks around Ardara. The Nesbitt Arms Boutique Hotel is only an hour’s drive from the second largest National Park in Ireland, Glenveagh. There are many attractions and activities in the locality to suit you.  We are thrilled with the proposed opening of Ardara Distillery, in April 2022 where guests can explore how Donegal's Silkey Whiskey or An Dulamain Gin is distilled.  Pop-out the main door and a short walk will bring you to the Distillery.
